- I recently bought a 540MB Seagate (ST3655N) and installed it
- in my A3000 (SCSI chip v04).
-
- I put it on the end of the SCSI-cable and the old 52MB Quantum
- in between (male-to-female converter SCSI cable needed).
-
- My problem is that the Seagate disk is VERY slow and unstable!
- Both under 2.04 and softbooted 3.1
- I get checksum errors and other bad messages.
- It took over 5 hours to run disksalv on a 379MB partition!
- It worked fine on another A3000.
- I tested it with diskspeed and got 90kb/s reading and 23kb/s
- writing!!! Almost diskdrivespeeds....
-
- Could this be a termination problem? What termination should
- I remove?
